Tag! I’m IT!

When is the last time you played a good game of TAG?

For me it’s been at least 20 years… I can’t believe I’m old enough to say and remember twenty years ago!

Anyway, I am so grateful because lately I have been accumulating not only awards on my blog, but also games of TAG!  I’ve never played internet tag before, so this should be fun.  Thank you, Grounding My Roots for tagging me!

Here we go:

RULES:

1. You must post the rules.  (I’ll do my best, but I like to make up my own rules often and much, so let’s see how this goes).
2. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post and then create eleven new questions to ask the people you’ve tagged.
3. Tag eleven people and link to them on your post.
4. Let them know you’ve tagged them!

Q&A with Currie Rose

1) What is your favorite childhood memory?  My Godfathers laugh.

2) If there is one thing you could change about yourself, what would it be and why?  My tendency to talk behind my own back, because it creates more stress and self-sabotage than anything outside of me.

3) What is your favorite pastime, besides blogging of course?  All things girly.  I love(d) and hopefully will experience again regular facials, haircuts, pedicures and luxuriating in soft, cozy and flattering clothing.

4) Where do you see yourself in 10 years?  Holy Cow, I’ll be 40 in ten years!!!  Um, I hope to see myself in a place of satisfaction from actually writing my book, traveling the globe, being successful and hopefully finding an incredibly passionate and stable relationship.

  5) Do you like where you currently live? Why or why not?  YES!  I love Oregon and I am truly grateful to be surrounded by people who have let me know that I will always have a roof over my head as I continue along my path, who love me with all my yumminess and all my flaws too and give me space to have my experiences and love me through all the ups and downs.  There’s nothing like unconditional love, right?

Jaxon Bullet Dog, my current doggy room mate. He is the very definition of happiness and love. :)

6) What is your biggest life goal?  To come home to myself completely.

7) What are 3 things you always carry with you? Chapstick, Water and My Dreams.

8) What is the one place you really want to visit?  My next home…. the place I will call my own.  Then, I want to travel extensively… doesn’t matter where as long as I experience fulfillment in the process.

9) Do you think the world is going to end in 2012?  Nope.

10) What is your most embarrassing experience you are willing to share with the world?  Recently, I was rushing around and not paying much attention to signs (real signs)…. and practically ran into a men’s bathroom (since I was rushing) and greeted a few guys standing at the urinals…

1) What is your comfort food?  Noodles.  Lo Mein.  Almost all varieties of pasta.  In fact, as soon as I finish this, I am going to eat some Lo Mein.  Do I need comfort food right now?  No.  However, yesterday I did some work for someone and she paid me with Chinese Food… and a lot of it… and she was emotionally eating.  It was funny, when she dropped me off, she said, “Thank you SO MUCH for your help… and look, from helping me, you got to emotionally eat too and your butt got bigger.  Maybe it’s time for me to start getting a little more strict  in the compensation I ask for when I do work…. hm…..

Game of tag #2:

In this game, I was tagged by Billie Jean

The Rules:

2. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post and then create eleven new questions to ask the people you’ve tagged.
3. Tag eleven people and link to them on your post.

Q&A Part 2 with Currie Rose

1.  What made you smile today?  When I finally got all of the mail that has been somehow getting lost the past few weeks and finding the satisfaction knowing that I will get my mail from this point forward.

2.  What’s your favorite song right now?  JJ Grey and MOFRO are an old favorite of mine.  Truly Musical Soul Food.  This song brings my heart peace and inspires a coming home to me.  :)

3.  What’s your favorite part of the day?  Morning.  I love morning… before the sun even comes up… I’m finally starting to feel rested enough to start regularly rising at that time again maybe a few days a week.

4.  What do you do to relax?  I imagine all that my heart knows to be true.

5.  What motivates you? Believing in all that my heart knows to be true…. also, exercise, eating right (no lo mein) and laughter.

6.  Do you think good communication or good chemistry is more important in a relationship?  Well, I think that in order to even have a relationship, there must be good chemistry… and having experienced needless suffering at the mercy of miscommunications, I would have to say communication… transparent, authentic and sometimes vulnerable communication are probably the most important keys to having a relationship that not only survives, but thrives.

7.  What’s your favorite drink?  Latte, Water, and a Spinach Apple and Banana Smoothie.

8.  How would you summarize yesterday in one word.  Laughter.

9.  What fear would you like to conquer?  The fear that I am not enough.

10.  What are you obsessing about?  Finding a job which brings me joy and a paycheck.

11.  If you were given the choice to live anywhere, at all, in the world (or universe), where would it be?  In my next home that is truly or at least partially my space.

Here is where I make up my own rules:

Since, I was tagged twice, I am only going to tag 11 people (not 22).  I am not going to make up questions.  If you choose to participate, please feel free to answer any of the above 22 questions.  Also, I highly encourage you to live and think outside the box and make up your own rules if you decide to play!

11 People I am tagging (and really truly good blogs to feast your eyes upon):

2.  Reinventing the Event Horizon

  1. Thanks so much, Currie, for tagging me. Please, be patient with me, as I’ve not been good about responding to these things recently, but I’ll try to do better.

I love what you said about wanting to come home to yourself completely. I hope for the same. You said it beautifully, my friend!

    Hugs,
    Kathy

    • Thank you, Kathy. For years I’ve been saying, “I just want to go home…” Seriously, I’ve been saying that for almost ten years now. Over the past 3 or four years I’ve come to see that when I say that it has nothing to do with a home outside of me, it has to do with feeling safe and whole and loved within. :)

As for playing along… whatev. I won’t be disappointed if you don’t.

Thank you and have a great day,
      Currie

  2. I thoroughly enjoyed your tagnaciousness. And especially hearing your favorite song. It made my heart sigh, so I’m high-tailing it to Half.com to see if I can find it for cheap.

    • Right on! I love spreading the word about good artists. I’m generally obsessed with all music… but that was the song that came to mind yesterday… it is such a beautiful world. :) Thank you, and I hope you have a lovely day.
